Rabbit Hole Distillery founder Kaveh Zamanian’s true calling was set into motion when he met and fell in love with his wife Heather, a native of Louisville. It was then that Kaveh’s passion for America’s native spirit took hold, leading him to ultimately step away from a successful career as a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst to start his own spirits company. Kaveh and his family moved to Kentucky, where Rabbit Hole came to life. Driven by the desire to put Rabbit Hole at the forefront of the American spirits category, he put everything on the line to start a spirit brand that would do just that.

Rabbit Hole Distillery is heralded as an architectural icon, an immersive experience in Transparent Modern Innovation. The distillery is a contemporary glass-lined castle built to evoke emotion throughout every moment of your experience. An abundance of natural light shines on each step of the whiskey-making process. From the grains shimmering gold in the Kentucky sunlight to the mash aromas rising out of fermenters, no shadows are cast on our systems – all are open to see and experience. The Overlook is our modern, elegant top-floor bar which serves cocktails. We invite you to sip, savor and linger while taking in the best view of the city we call home.

Distilling is baked into Louisville’s culture. Rabbit Hole Distillery resides in the heart of NuLu, the city’s creative district. This downtown neighborhood is the nexus of old and new—a place where artists and entrepreneurs pursue their dreams without budgeting for regret. We could be nowhere else.

Rabbit Hole Distillery has a goal to produce the best spirits in the world. It has, and always will, start with our one-of-a-kind expressions of American whiskey. But, while we could easily stop there, our pursuit of the extraordinary extends beyond the whiskey landscape. Each of our unique offerings is a study in innovation and a convergence of terroir and tradition that has been crafted with the utmost care.

Our Bespoke Gin is the one, and only gin finished in Kentucky Rye barrels. We begin by importing fine London Dry Gin fashioned from the finest botanicals and then rest it in the same barrels we use to age our Best in Class Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey. This innovative technique results in a distinct spirit that tastes like no other and is one of the best-selling expressions at our distillery.

Liddel Vodka is an exercise in unity. We import French Winter Wheat Vodka for this original vodka and filter it in its entirety with the same Kentucky limestone we use to purify our unparalleled whiskeys. The outcome is a soft, subtle spirit that unites France and Kentucky, bridging continents and cultures. It serves as a testament that great things happen when we come together.
